The Psp is an incredibly versatile piece of equipment. It allows portability for playing games and watching movies in the form of small Umd discs that you can undoubtedly carry around. However there are other ways of storing Psp games like in memory sticks. The following is a quick guide that shows you how to download Psp games and replacement them from your computer onto your Psp.
You can find some Psp games that are practice form and developed by programmers. These 'homebrew' Psp games emulate other gaming consoles so that you can play a range of games on platforms such as Nes, Supernintendo, Megadrive, Psx and much more production the Psp a much more superior gaming console.
To use these you will need sufficient Psp memory space. I advise buying a memory stick of at least 1Gb, but a 256Mb Memory stick should suffice.
Note: You will need to format a brand new stick. You will also wish firmware version 1.5 or less. Later firmware may not work, and if you do have a later version then downgrading your Psp may help if you have any problems.
To get these games you must download them off a Psp site. Then naturally connect your Psp to your Pc via the Usb cable and drag and drop into your Psp (usually marked as a detachable disk F: in My Computer).
To passage and play the games on your Psp you need to go to your main menu, scroll down to 'Game' and opt the Memory Stick option. Hit 'X' and your games will appear in a list. If any problems occur, I advise downgrading your firmware.
