You don't have to be a super techie computer geek to do this and it is not all that easy but, if you want to know how to put videos on psp then here are some straightforward instructions that will have you watching your favorite videos in no time.
First of all you want to have at least a 512MB memory card. Anything less will not be able to handle the files because video files are big.
PSP USB Cable
You will also need a USB cord to connect the psp and your computer together. If you don't have one you can get one at any computer store.
These two things will be a must before you continue to put videos on your psp.
How to Put Videos On PSP:
1. Using your USB cable connect your psp to your computer, make sure that your psp is turned off until you have it connected to your computer. Then you can turn it on.
2. On your psp go into settings, and press x. This should link your psp to your computer. On your computer go into "MY COMPUTER". Your computer should now detect your psp as an "extra-removable drive" and show an extra volume, which will be your psp.
3. Now you can open your psp memory card. Once you open your memory card open the folder named psp. Once you open this folder you will find four other folders | Games | Music | savedata | Photo. You will now need to create another folder and call it MP_ROOT, which needs to be in the same level as the psp folder. Under the MP_ROOT folder create a sub-folder and name it 100MNV01. This is where your videos and thumbnail files will be stored.
4.Now you are ready to start downloading your favorite MP4 videos. (You can Google MP4 videos and as of 03/12/2008 there is 1,720,000 results. You shouldn't have any problems finding any to watch.)
Once you have downloaded the videos to your psp, go to video > memory stick, once there you should see the thumbnail files of the videos. Click on the thumbnail and start watching your videos.
